What Next For Hamilton & Rosberg?

In recent weeks, Head of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport Toto Wolff made a shot across the bows of his Mercedes drivers by stating that one or both of them could face the sack if the rivalry between Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg were to continue in such a bitter fashion.
There cannot be any dispute that the once friendly relationship between the pair has fallen through the cracks of fighting out two world titles that have gone Hamilton's way.
What's Next For Hamilton & Rosberg?
Heading into 2016 and fresh calls to buck up their ideas, Lewis and Nico are surely going to have to work together in a more functional fashion. Ferrari are a looming threat and despite still being the team to beat, Mercedes have plenty to do to retain both titles once again.
But can both drivers put aside their differences if they again once fight it out for a world title? That's a difficult one to answer. Nico won the last three races of the 2015 season and went into the winter break in superb fashion, Lewis on the other hand was left following his team mate unable to get on top of his form that led him to that third world title.
After the events of Hungary and Spa in 2014 there is no denying there will always be some friction between the pair; that happens in competitive racing, but can either trust each other to do the right thing if it's called upon?
This is far from the most bitter of inter-team rivalries we've seen in the past like Senna Vs Prost or Mansell Vs Piquet. They were twisting words in the media, pitted team personnel against each other and fought out on track so hard that it was on the verge of stupidity. Thankfully were are yet to see that from Hamilton and Rosberg, they gave us a phenomenal show at the 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix and we want to see more of that close racing without it getting sour.
But if Ferrari are to have closed the gap even further over the off-season and really take the fight to Mercedes in 2016, both Lewis and Nico will have no choice but to work together much more closely without letting their personal feelings getting in the way in order to defeat the resurging prancing horse.
