Ian Hutchinson will remain with Team Traction Control in the Supersport class for his 2016 road racing campaign. The team, run by Prodigy frontman Keith Flint, will supply the Bingley Bullet with Yamaha R6 600cc bikes upon which he dominated the class at the TT this year.
Hutchy joined the team at the eleventh hour after his deal with MV Agusta fell through, the manufacturer instead opting to focus its Factory effort on a 2016 return.
“It was an obvious decision to join the team on their Supersport bike after the results we had this year,” stated Hutchinson. “Before the TT I had never ridden the bike until the first lap of practice and then we won both Supersport races, so this feels perfect for me. It was so easy coming and riding with the team and we know what we can improve together for next year so we can move the job forward again.”
The eleven-times TT winner will also ride for the Tyco BMW team in the big bike classes in 2016.
