Dean Harrison has signed for the Silicone Engineering team for the 2016 season and will ride a Kawasaki ZX-10R at the North West 200, Isle of Man TT and Ulster Grand Prix.

The Yorkshireman split with the Mar-Train team last month as a result of lack of support from Yamaha. Harrison endured a difficult season aboard the new YZF-R1, but did manage to taste victory at the Gold Cup in Scarborough.

Harrison took a ZX-10R to second place in the 2014 Superstock TT. The machine also graced the TT podium again this year, courtesy of Ian Hutchinson, whilst it was class of the field in World Superbikes this season in the hands of Jonathan Rea.

“As soon as I met Paul (Iddon, team owner) and the rest of the team and saw the set-up from the bike preparation to the calibre of the other riders and their knowledge, I knew it was a great opportunity to join a team on the up”, Harrison stated.

“The flexibility of how the team is run was another plus for me as I can really have an influence on key decisions on the bike, which I believe will take me to greater levels and hopefully bring success to the team.”
