Heidfeld: More to come from Mahindra

Nick Heidfeld took Mahindra's first ever podium in his debut race for the team. If it wasn't for a slow pitstop then 'Quick Nick' may have even been one step higher on the podium.
Heidfeld believes the team's performance in Beijing gives them the opportunity to improve, and believes there is more to come from the Indian outfit.
“I think if you would have said to me before the weekend if we came away with P3 we would have been happy,” Heidfeld told Motorsport.com.
“But there is a bit of disappointment because we had a problem with the pit stop which cost us two positions at the time, and I think if that had not happened di Grassi would have struggled to get past me on the circuit. But overall the position is fantastic for the team and for me at the first race together.”
“We all worked hard over the summer, but I still expected to have some more cars ahead of me, so yes it was a very good start and we are pleased.
“The Dragon guys did one lap more in the first stint and we already saw last season they were very good on their consumption. So, they had to coast less and as a consequence they were quicker at the end."
Heidfeld and teammate Bruno Senna will be hoping to build on the teams performance in Malaysia in a few weeks. All buildup and coverage can be found on Twitter at @ILMFormulaE.
