Sebastian Buemi has hailed the Beijing ePrix as "the perfect weekend" as the Renault e.Dams driver took pole position, the race win and fastest lap in dominant fashion.

The Swiss driver took home the maximum 30 points available, and can't wait to get back into action in 2 weeks in Putrajaya.

Speaking in the post-race press conference, Buemi said “It was a perfect race. I had a bad start, to be honest; Nick [Heidfeld] had a fantastic start. In the end it’s a perfect weekend and I’ve never scored all the points [before], it’s good and I’m going to enjoy that. [I’m] looking forward to Malaysia now.”

“We took it easy at the pitstop, I don’t know what time we did but we took it really easy. Then at the restart, out of the garage, I completely locked the front tyres and went straight, so I could have lost much more than that.”

Asked about whether his team could repeat their impressive performance in Malaysia, he said “To be honest, I don’t think so, because it is a perfect weekend. I don’t expect it to be like that at each weekend. You need a perfect qualifying, you need to make sure you don’t do any mistakes and this kind of weekend will be very difficult to repeat.

“But we will work hard and hopefully we will be able to keep a good pace and score as many points as possible at the start of the season, which I didn’t do last year.”

The next ePrix will take place in Putrajaya, Malaysia in 2 weeks time. Follow @ILMFormulaE for all the news and buildup.
