Baz To Avintia For 2016

French rider Loris Baz will continue in the MotoGP World Championship for a second year after signing with the Avintia Ducati team.

Baz' future looked uncertain after his current team, and the team he is contesting his rookie campaign with, Forward Racing encountered financial woes earlier in the year. Originally intended to go to Yonny Hernandez - whom we believe will be at Aspar next year - Baz will ride a GP14.2 next season as he looks to make his way further up the order.

Baz stepped over from WSBK this year having taken his best result in the series with 5th in the standings. He was meant to make his Grand Prix début with Aspar this year, but they reneged on their agreement as they felt he was too tall for the Honda RC213V-RS. Baz currently sits top of the Open class.
