Could Manor Mercedes be on the cards?

Hot the tail of the impending Renault decision on buying Lotus, which will have it’s own effect on the engine market, Manor are said to be talking to Mercedes according to German F1 website f1-insider.com.
The team has been aligned to Ferrari since the introduction of the turbo engines, helped thanks to taking Ferrari development driver Jules Bianchi. While it is said that they have had a good relationship it seems that Manor are quite happy to take another development driver, in this case Pascal Wehrlein who comes with the Mercedes engine, with other
An obvious place for him would have been at Force India who looked to be like an unofficial ‘B-Team’, but with Sergio Perez staying and Nico Hulkenberg sounding like he will be staying again in 2016 there will be no place for him at the Silverstone based team. According to the article it could have ramifications on the Mercedes engine contract, with the team heading into the direction of Renault (as long as Red Bull/Renault sever their contract, and they get the deal with Lotus done).
The article also suggests that Red Bull will have the Mercedes engine, with Toro Rosso heading back to Ferrari.
