Moto3 Championship leader Danny Kent's home Grand Prix started in an unfortunate way as his bike suffered mechanical problems just three minutes into the opening session at Silverstone. The British rider returned to the pits and was seen cleaning his leathers suggesting an oil problem caused the stoppage on the outside of Copse.

Unfortunately for the British fans, the home favourite was unable to return to the track and was seen later on in the session having changed out of his racing leathers whilst his mechanics removed the fuel tank from the bike. The Leopard Racing team are hopeful the bike will be repaired and ready to run for second practice later today.
