VW partner ABT for Season Two

On the penultimate day of testing at Donington Park, the ABT Schaeffler Formula E team unveiled thier new colourscheme for the forthcoming season, including that of a new partnership.
The car now features prominently displayed VW logos, as well as the drivers overalls which links a relationship the ABT team has had with the VW group for a number of years.
It also heralds a stronger relationship with their technology partners Schaeffler. “For us, it was clear from the beginning that we wouldn’t do anything by halves. That’s why we looked at all the areas released by the regulations and developed optimized solutions of our own together with our partners,” says Prof. Peter Gutzmer, Chief Technology Officer.
“The collaboration with ABT Sportsline is outstanding. The team gelled in the first season, goes about its work in a professional and success-oriented manner, and is the perfect ambassador for our vision of ‘Mobility for tomorrow,’ says Gutzmer.
The team has retained season one pairing Lucas di Grassi and Daniel Abt.
