Championship leader Danny Kent once again showed his raw pace by setting a blisteringly quick lap time in final practice ahead of Moto3 qualifying.

The British rider lapped within 0.027 seconds of the ultimate Moto3 record at the Brno track with a 2m07.649 and was three tenths of a second clear of the rest of the field. Fabio Quartararo also impressed as he was the only other rider to lap under the 2m08s and finished second on the combined times ahead of Miguel Oliveira.
Meanwhile Kent's Leopard Racing teammate Efren Vazquez could only manage fourth fastest and almost half a second down on the dominant Kent. Other riders that impressed were Jorge Martin (5th) and Jorge Navarro in 6th. The only rider in the Moto3 field to have won a grand prix at the Brno track was Alexi Masbou and he showed his experience by finishing a respectable 7th ahead of Bastianini, Fenati and Antonelli completing the top 10 (although the latter crashed out at the end of the session).
