After being replaced at the Tech3 Moto2 team, Ricky Cardus is back on a Moto2 bike but this time for Malaysian-owned JPMoto Racing Team.

Cardus' return at the Czech GP this weekend comes at the expense of Thai rider Ratthapark Wilairot, who had himself only been on the bike for 4 races from Catalunya to Indianapolis last weekend. Cardus' best result in Moto2 came last year at Catalunya with his 7th place finish, so his new team will be hoping the Spanish rider will help strengthen the team.

JPMoto are continuously developing in their debut year and speaking to motogp.com, Team Manager Raja Nor Zaini Mohamad Nor cites the reason for the change as being more about the benefit of his experience and that the "inclusion of Cardus will tremendously develop the team [because we] want to learn and acquire knowledge as much as possible this season so that we can become better prepared in 2016". Raja Zaini also wished future success for the departing Wilairot but confirmed the split was mutually ended.
