Elias and Bradl On the Move for IndyGP

Toni Elias is set to replace Karel Abraham at the AB Motoracing team for next weekend's Indianapolis Grand Prix. The former MotoGP winner and Moto2 World Champion has been absent from the Grand Prix grid since 2013 and will ride a Honda RC213V-RS at the Brickyard.

Abraham suffered a broken toe on his left foot in a high-side crash during FP4 for the Catalan Grand Prix and as been forced to sit on the sidelines since. He'll be hoping to make it onto the grid for his home round in Brno in two weeks time.

Another rider on the move for the second half of the season is Stefan Bradl, who is reportedly lined up to fill the second seat at Aprilia. The German has rescinded his contract with the Forward Racing team in light of their recent financial troubles as a result of team owner Giovanni Cuzari's arrest, which has seen the team unable to contest the ninth round of the season in America.

Aprilia have been on the lookout for a replacement rider after they and Marco Melandri parted ways prior to the German Grand Prix. Michael Laverty filled in at the Sachsenring, but his commitments in the British Superbike Championship – of where he has a shot at the title – meant full-time MotoGP duties weren't feasible.
