Triple Moto2 Constructors champions Suter Racing Technology have unveiled their brand new SRT MMX2 which they will race in 2016 in a bid to replenish the manufacturers representation within the Moto2 World Championship which has seen just two teams enter Suter chassis this season.
Suter have enjoyed success in the intermediate class with the likes of Marc Marquez and Stefan Bradl, but largely uncompetitive machinery in 2014 led to many of the manufacturers customers jumping to Kalex' new frame for the 2015 season. Suter-shod riders won just three Grand Prix last year (Germany, Japan, Valencia) compared to four in 2013, ten in 2012, eleven in 2011 and four in 2010.
Improved on the MMX2 is a new chassis and swing arm, as well as a new rear linkage. Aerodynamic changes have been made in the form of rider positioning. Testing of the new machine will begin in Autumn.
