One of the biggest logistic companies on the planet, DHL, has signed a three-year deal that will see them become the official logistics partner of the MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships.
Each season, DHL will transport 80 bikes and 350 tons of equipment for the teams and event organisers. DHL are well versed in motorsport logistics as they also partner with the likes of the Formula 1 World Championship and the Formula E Series.
CEO of DHL, Ken Allen stated to motogp.com:
“This new partnership with the MotoGP World Championship, the oldest motorsport series in the world and the premier racing event on two wheels, further showcases that DHL is the provider of choice to the motorsport and automotive sectors. We are very excited about having this opportunity to get behind the handlebars of the championship's logistics operation and to offer high quality international shipping service to all involved in MotoGP.
“As with the other motor racing series in our world-class partnership portfolio, MotoGP World Championship will also give us the opportunity both to engage with and incredibly passionate global fan base and to create more high octane experiences for our own customers, employees and partners.”
