The 2015 Czech Grand Prix will go ahead as planned in August after Dorna Sports and the Brno circuit reached an agreement to continue with its existing contract.

Last month it was revealed that Brno circuit owner Karel Abraham Sr had struggled to acquire the adequate funding from the South Moravian government to host the race. Abraham stated that he was yet to receive somewhere in the region of €1 million from the local authorities owed from last year's event.

This deal does not safeguard future Czech GPs and Dorna have offered a date of August 16th for the Automotodrom Brno to negotiate a deal with the “relevant authorities” as to allow the country and circuit to host a round of the MotoGP World Championship from 2016 onwards.
