Reigning World Supersport champion and Pata Honda rider in this year's World Superbike Championship Michael Van Der Mark will not make a speculated wild card appearance at his home round at Assen this weekend.

Van Der Mark was set to replace the injured Karel Abraham this weekend at the AB Motoracing team, but the deal fell through when the Czech team and Pata Honda failed to reach an agreement for the young Superbike charger to ride an RC213V-RS at his home track.

The Dutchman last raced in the Grand Prix Motorcycle World Championship in the 2011 Moto2 Dutch TT and took podiums in both races at this year's Dutch round of the World Superbike Championship.
