Manor to miss Austria test

Manor Marussia have confirmed they will miss the final inseason test in Austria this week.
The team was revived from administration at the final hour earlier this year, and as a result was forced to run a revised version of the 2014 car. Rumours earlier in the season suggested that a 2015 would make a debut in Spa, but that is now looking unlikely with the team focused on 2016.
With little to test, on a car they know well they have decided to miss the test, just as they did at Bercelona last month.
“It’s the wrong test at the wrong time in the wrong place for us,” Greame Lowdon, the teams Sporting Director told Autosport.
“Our development focus at the moment is in a different place.
“We’re out of sync with the other teams after the way our season started and what our objectives are at the moment.
“We can’t gain the same as other teams would be gaining so the value of doing it is not there.”
