Hutchy Trebles-Up In Second Supersport TT

Ian Hutchinson continued to light-up the mountain course after yet another commanding victory at the 2015 Isle of Man TT. The Bingley Bullet romped to his second Supersport success of the week on the TTC Yamaha R6. Hutchy took the lead from Quattro Plant Kawasaki's James Hillier at Ramsey Hairpin on the opening lap, and then went onto to build a gap of over 14-seconds as the race wore on. He now head the TT Championship with 95 points.
Bruce Anstey pushed his Padgetts Honda CBR600 as far as humanly possible, but his best efforts just weren't enough to topple Hutchy. Still, the Kiwi took his fourth podium this week and this has set up a tantalising Senior TT on Friday, which very much looks like it will be between Anstey and Hutchy.
Guy Martin put the woes of the opening Supersport race behind him to take a very popular and well deserved podium on the Smiths Triumph Daytona 675. The Lincolnshire rider was locked in a fight with Hillier in the early stages, but was able to stretch an advantage of eight-seconds over the four-lap contest. Guy later conceded that the bike was better than 3rd, but he looks to have gotten his confidence back ahead of the Senior TT.
Gary Johnson came home 5th, ahead of Lee Johnston, Conor Cummins, John McGuinness, Dan Kneen and David Johnson.
Peter Hickman took the Trooper Beer MV Agusta to a decent 11th.
Michael Dunlop was said to be heading home for treatment on injuries sustained in last Sunday's RST Superbike TT, but decided to stick around for the Supersport race to test his fitness. He pulled in after one lap and looked in a considerable amount of pain, but is said to be looking forward to Friday's final race.
Michael was joined by Dean Harrison on the sidelines after the Mar-Train rider suffered yet another mechanical issue on his Yamaha R6. Harrison dropped out of the race at Ballaugh Bridge on the opening lap.
