Ian Hutchinson, spurred on by his success in the Supersport race, continued his comeback to form with a sensational win in the Superstock TT. The PBM Kawasaki rider trounced the competition by over 17-seconds, but his race was far from easy. The stock Kawasaki is incredibly thirsty an Hutchy found on the final lap that he had run out of petrol. The bike cut out on him through a corner and he was headed for the kerb. Luckily he stayed mounted to coast home.

Michael Dunlop has set the course alight with his time on the Superstock BMW S1000RR during practice, and looked in good form at the start of the race. But fatigue crept in as battled through the pain barrier. He managed a very respectable 2nd place, but in a race, had he been at full fitness, he should have walked.

Lee Johnston took his first podium at the TT after hunting down James Hillier in the closing stages of the contest. The ECC BMW rider finished just 3-tenths in front of the Quattro Plant Kawasaki.

Peter Hickman was a fine 5th in only his second year at the TT, with David Johnson, Guy Martin, John McGuinness, Bruce Anstey, Conor Cummins rounding out the top ten.

Gary Johnson dropped out with mechanical issues on the second lap running through Parliament Square.
