Lee Hardy Racing and Peter Hickman have secured a new title sponsor for their MV Augusta F4 675 which they will race in this year's Supersport TTs. Robinsons Brewery and Iron Maiden will back Hickman at this year's event, with the “Trooper” logo appearing on the side of his MV.

Hickman had this to say about his new sponsor: “I'm really excited to be involved with Robinsons and the “Trooper” brand for this year's TT. And the link with Iron Maiden is the icing on the cake! The bike looks absolutely fantastic and the team has done a great job getting it prepared and ready to race. I can't wait to fly down Bray Hill for the first time on it. I'd like to say a big thanks to Jack Valentine of Valmoto for letting us use his bike too.”

Iron Maiden front-man and creator of the ale added: “It's a great pleasure to be involved in such an exciting and iconic event as the TT and we can't wait to see Peter on his bike tackling the famous course.”

Hickman has also recently been declared fit enough to ride following a neck injury, which makes “The Trooper” sponsorship all the more fitting.

Those who keep up with the website and our many goings on will know that Iron Maiden are my favourite band, so this is sponsorship I can very much get behind, especially as the album the ale's namesake is featured on is my favourite Maiden album. Also, how cool is it to see Eddie on the side of a motorbike?

Racing starts this Saturday with the Superbike TT, whilst Eddie will grace the mountain course on Monday in the opening Supersport race.
