Fabio Quartararo leads the way heading into this afternoon's qualifying session for round six of the 2015 Moto3 World Championship after topping the third free practice session. The 16-year old French rider has been struggling to get to grips with the very tricky circuit, but produced a stunning lap in the final minutes to jump from 25th to 1st with a time of 1:57.407,
which the fastest time of the weekend so far. Expect the lap record to be reset this afternoon. Estrella Galicia 0,0 Honda team-mate Jorge Navarro also found a little something in FP3 and went 11th.
Miguel Oliveira has exceeded expectations for the KTM around the Mugello circuit after he went 2nd quickest with a 1:57.592. The most impressive part about that lap was that it was set in clear air and without use of a tow. Danny Kent completed the top three also putting in laps without a tow.
Romano Fenati has looked switched on from the get go, and was 4th quickest after FP3, with Jorge Martin an impressive 5th on the Mapfre Mahindra.
Niccolo Antonelli was fastest coming into today, but slipped back a little this morning and was 6th, with Brad Binder, Niklas Ajo, Francesco Bagnaia and Livio Loi rounding out the top ten.
Hiro Ono heads into qualifying on the back foot after suffering a crash in the final four-minutes of the session. Thankfully, he walked away unharmed.
