With rumours swirling round of a potential McLaren 'B' team ran by ART, the Woking based outfit say they have 'no' plans for such an eventuality.

The FIA has recently opened up F1 to potential new teams and this has sent the rumour mill into overdrive. There have been several reports linking the McLaren-backed GP2 team to a future Honda 'B' team.

ART and McLaren have lots of links. Stoffel Vandoorne, and McLaren backed driver is currently dominating the GP2 Series with ART, and the team run a McLaren liveried car in the championship. Reports from Germany suggest that a partnership similar to that of Ferrari and Haas F1 could be on the cards with McLaren and ART.

A potential McLaren-Honda 'B' team could see a return to F1 for Kevin Magnussen, and a potential first F1 race seat for Vandoorne, who currently leads the GP2 championship by 44 points. However, and spokesman for McLaren has said "We have no such plans and have had no such discussions."
