Formula E Championship contender Nelson Piquet Jr. will skip the X Games to race in the Moscow ePrix.
Piquet, who is currently leading the championship with a 2 point gap to Sebastian Buemi, will be replaced in the X Games in Texas by Andreas Bakkerud. Piquet has had success in the X Games, picking up a bronze medal last year.
Team owner of the SH Rallycross team, the team which Piquet would be driving for, say he was given his release for Moscow and they want to support him in his quest to win the FE championship.
The Moscow ePrix takes place on the 6th June.
