Graeme Lowdon has said the the F1 Strategy Sport are "cherry-picking bits of ideas" as he criticises their failure to address the issues in F1.

To make Formula 1 more interesting, the Strategy Group proposed making cars 5/6 seconds faster, higher revving engines, increased noises and the opinion-divider reintroduction of refueling.

Lowdon told Autosport "What the Strategy Group appear to be doing is cherry-picking bits of ideas, whether its refuelling, customer cars, franchise cars or whatever."

"Refuelling and customer cars are not strategies. A strategy is first analysing, then setting goals and objectives, then working out how you are going to operate and creating a plan that can be followed. To my mind, they are ignoring one of the most fundamental things, and that is what is the overall strategy for Formula 1? What is that we are trying to do?"

The idea of customer cars has been floating around for a long time in F1, and have split opinion just like some of the recents proposals have done. What do you think needs to change in F1 for it to improve? Let us know in the comments below!
