Ian Hutchinson will ride for the Team Traction Control Yamaha squad at this year's Isle of Man TT in the Supersport class, it has been revealed.

Eight-time TT winner Hutchinson was due to ride for the Tsingato MV Augusta team in the two 600cc races, but the outfit pulled out of this year's event at the last minute.

The five-in-a-week winner had this to say about his new deal:

"It is a privilage to be working with Keith Flint and the team, and I know how much they love their racing. I have worked with Grant (Bunting) from TTC before, so to be able to have this opportunity to work with them is just what I need.

"I am looking forward to it and as I haven't ridden the TTC bike before we need to have a good practice week and get a feel for it, but I know the team have the ability from what they have done this season and in the past."

Hutchy will contest the Superbike and Superstock races on a Kawasaki with the Paul Bird Motorsport team, whom he secured two podium finishes with at this year's North West 200.

Practcie week starts tomorrow (29 May) and racing will begin next Saturday with the opening Superbike race.
