After an otherwise stellar weekend for Jake Dennis, it was to be a painful Sunday afternoon for the Brit as he watched his race long lead slip from his hands and into those of championship leader Antonio Giovinazzi following a problem with his Prema Powerteam car, leading him to end his weekend in thirteenth place. Giovinazzi had hunted Dennis during the early laps, before Saturday’s winner had begun to pull away seemingly for a repeat of Races 1 and 2, but with four laps to go it was not to be and Giovinazzi crossed the line to score nine out of nine podium finishes so far this season. His lead in the championship is now also more than doubled, with Charles Leclerc 12 points adrift after reaching the flag in third. In second place was Maximilian Gunther for Mucke Motorsport who had managed to fend off a chasing Leclerc throughout the duration of the race and thus scored his maiden F3 podium. As Dennis slipped back through the order, Prema teammate Lance Stroll took fourth place, whilst Arjun Maini, Felix Rosenqvist and Alessio Morandi caught up to finish fifth, sixth and seventh respectively. The race was affected by a single safety car intervention, which occurred on the opening lap following a collision in which the car of Kang Ling launched onto the back of Tatiana Calderon’s Carlin. Both drivers were uninjured. 1. Antonio Giovinazzi (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) 2. Maximilian Gunther (KFZTeile24 Mucke Motorsport) 3. Charles Leclerc (Van Amersfoort Racing) 4.
